Adiobe! You can see the energy building behind a full suite of Creative Suite killers
Buy this so that we can all eventually cheer, “Adiobe!” The price-for-quality value here is outstanding. It’s easily worth $100+. There are a few things that I can imagine I could do in Photoshop that I cannot do with Affinity Designer, but it’s barely out of beta, people! It’s clear that they took the time to understand exactly what needed to be in a core photo application for professionals from the start and worked to refine those features. They didn’t just copy Photoshop; they asked key questions about what needed to be done better and what new features could enhance people’s work flow. I can’t wait to see what new ones get added along the way. I bought Affinity Designer as well, and you can see the two slowly merging into a suite like Adobe’s Creative Suite. I’ll be one of the first to try the Indesign killer. I take every opportunity to tell Adobe how repugnant I think their subscription model is; and it doesn’t even run well on the computers that we use it on. The fact that so many other software companies are trying the same game will only lead to fewer subscription dollars for everyone.
